The district of Chikkaballapura is located in Karnataka, India. Previously part of the Kolar district, Gauribidanur, Gudibanda, Bagepalli, Chikballapur, Manchenahalli, Sidlaghatta, and Chintamani were transferred to the new district on August 23, 2007, making it Karnataka’s fourth largest district (before bifurcation).
