Shivaji Military Hotel | Review Of The Famous Donne Biryani Restaurant In Bangalore

Shivaji Military Hotel Review

Bangalore has many iconic restaurants serving delicious food from the past. Like the saying goes “with great history comes great taste”, Shivaji Military Hotel serves up the best Non-Veg Maratha cuisine in Bengaluru. It was started in the year 1935 by Manji Rao, currently handled by his grandsons Rajeev Rao and Lokesh Rao.

Review

Shivaji Military Hotel serves up one of the best Donne Pulao in Bengaluru. Even though it is said that the restaurant is Maratha style, most of its flavours are more toward the Mysore region. Shivaji Military Hotel serves some spicy dishes which include Donne Pulao, Fry, Gravy of Chicken & Mutton on a Banana Leaf. It also serves Paya Soup in the morning which is very famous. The flavouring of this restaurant is raw, therefore, the dishes are extra spicy, fatty, and greasy. The meat is cooked to perfection and the extra spice will surely make your tongue tingle for more. The Paya Soup is good but lacks a little bit of that extra kick. Even though this restaurant is known for its Meaticious Donne Biryani, they are also famous for dishing out Mutton Fry, Chicken Fry, Chicken Leg Fry and many more. Because they do appetizers in limited quantity, you need to head out early to try them. I could hands-down recommend this place for everyone and truthfully, Shivaji Military Hotel serves the best Mutton Donne Pulao in the world.
