SGS Non-Veg is a restaurant located in Chickpet or Cottonpet which sells the famous Donne Biryani (Gundu Palav) in Bangalore. SGS Non-Veg used to sell only Donne Biryani, but currently, they have expanded across Bangalore with a bigger menu. Coming to the location of the main branch, it’s not that friendly neighbourhood. Located inside chickpet on a narrow street, this restaurant is very clean and the food is made with well standardized hygienic conditions. Even though SGS Non-Veg has expanded its base, the original location still serves the more authentic version of Donne Biryani/ Gundu Pulav.

There is no doubt in my mind when I say it as the Authentic Donne biryani/ Gundu Pulav. Even though the recipe did not originate from this restaurant, they somehow made it popular. Of course, there are other Donne biryani centres in Bangalore but trust me they cannot match the taste of this restaurant. The Donne Pulav recipe was from a 100+-year-old restaurant named Govinda Rao Military Hotel located just a few feet away from this restaurant. Currently, the New Govinda Rao Military Hotel has lost its charm but not SGS Non-veg.

Identifying SGS Non-Veg Donne Pulav with other Donne Biryani is easy. From the aroma, and appearance to the taste, everything is delightful. So people who have heard about Cottonpete Donne biryani or Chickpete Donne biryani, and don’t know the name of the restaurant or its location, here you go. This is the original place and if you find other websites talking about different Donne biryani centres then don’t believe them because they don’t know anything about Donne biryani.
